About Samadhi Collective

How we got here

Each having lived experiences and challenges of their own, Greg and Sarah made their way individually to the path of Yoga. By the time they met in 2022 in the Clarence Valley of NSW, both had developed strong personal practices. It didn’t take long to realise their connection, shared vision and intertwined soul paths.

Now living grounded in community, nature and love, these dedicated Yogis have been strongly guided to create a Yoga and event space in Yamba to facilitate community connection, wellbeing, healing and growth.

Forever students first, we share with you the learnings we have picked up along the way…

Samadhi Collective

“Staying anchored to our practice has served us through life’s hardships. By experiencing the numerous benefits of practicing Yoga, we feel called to share these teachings to help others on the journey and empower them to uncover their own personal practice.”

At Samadhi Collective we are passionate about facilitating positive change and connection. Our studio provides the space to share Traditional Yogic wisdom and teachings within an inclusive and accessible framework, and opportunities for local and visiting facilitators to share their unique and creative gifts with the community.

The Collective

Tradition

We pay our deepest respect to the unbroken lineage of the Himalayan Masters from the Sri Vidya Tradition and the Tantric Hatha Yogis who have dedicated their lives to practicing and sharing the true teachings of Yoga. These eternal Sages continue to live and practice beyond the veil of illusion, to support and guide us in our practices and lives.

Infinite gratitude to all of our past, present and future teachers, and the almighty inner teacher within.

Who we are

Greg Heath

CO-OWNER / TEACHER
Greg started his journey with Yoga 20 years ago when he began practicing Asana to help rehabilitate a spinal fracture from a snowboarding accident. Later on in life, Greg was confronted by a major health crisis, which initiated a gradual and continuing process of uncovering the deeper physical, energetic, emotional, mental and spiritual healing benefits of Yoga.

Throughout his ongoing Yoga practice and studies, Greg is coming to realise Yoga as a system that allows us to develop a deeper capacity to rest in our innate content, and remain connected to that aspect of ourselves that is changeless. Union with Source - Yoga. This eventually led him to leave his long-term corporate job in pursuit of spreading the teachings of Yoga.

Forever a student, Greg has a strong passion to share his love of Yoga to build community, help others transform their lives and ultimately create a better world. His mission is to help society dissolve Fear and embrace Love, reconnect people to their Truth and serve humanity’s evolution.

Greg teaches Traditional Hatha Yoga, Yantra Yoga and Yoga Philosophy, and places importance on elements of Yoga beyond Asana. He aims to ensure that Yoga is accessible for everyone, and that students of Yoga come to realise the full potential and benefits of a complete Yoga practice on and off the mat.

Greg has completed numerous Yogic and Vedic studies including several 200-hour and 300-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings, and advanced studies of the Yoga Sutra, Kundalini, Vedas and the Bhagavad Gita. His offerings include studio classes, workshops, events and Yoga Teacher Trainings.

Sarah Post

CO-OWNER / TEACHER
Over the past 10 years, Sarah’s practice has deepened and evolved into a committed daily routine and it was the merging of Asana (physical poses), Pranayama (breath) and Meditation that solidified her love for a complete Yoga practice. Sarah has experienced and believes in the power of the system of Yoga to bring about positive impact into all areas of life.

Eventually, the time called, and Sarah trained in Hatha and Yin Yoga, moving towards sharing these practices with others.

Sarah is forever expanding her learnings and teachings through both embodiment of practice and exploration of teachings from those before her.

A goal of Sarah’s is to leave her students feeling confident and strong in their personal practice, empowering them to believe in their own abilities and to experience the benefits of Yoga for themselves.

”My Yoga mat has been my place of refuge, of comfort and of deep inner knowing. May place of clarity, of growth and connection to self and to truth. My desire for sharing Yoga practices is to invite others to this place. To uncover for themselves, what the mat is to them and for them to walk away empowered to carry these gifts into their daily lives”.

Sarah offers studio classes, workshops, events and can also be found facilitating expressive art therapy at STUDIO-espe.

Nic Dorsch

TEACHER
Yoga has been in Nic’s life for over 30 years – 20 years as a Yoga Teacher, Breath work & Meditation Coach, and for the last 8 years a Yoga Teacher Trainer. For 16 years Nic owned a thriving Yoga studio in Sydney’s south and says the highlight of this experience is being immersed in and nourished by the community that Yoga creates. Witnessing the Yoga light that shines bright in those who choose it’s path is the most rewarding aspect of being a teacher.

Nic is passionate about sharing breath work, meditation, movement and alignment of the body in postures (Asana) so others can experience the strength (Stirrha) and peace (Sukkha) this practice offers. Recognised by GPs, physiotherapists, chiropractors and exercise physiologists as having an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, conditions and injury rehabilitation. Over 20yrs her teachings have evolved with ongoing teacher trainings and as a response to both physical and personal challenges, shifting from Asana focus to the more subtle alignment and energy flow.

For Nic, Asana (physical practice) is more than postures, it's being present, practising mindful and functional movement with breath and core control. Her classes are an education for her students in body, breath, and getting to know the mind and Self more intimately, thereby tapping into our innate ability to move through life’s challenges and heal ourselves.

With various (and many) conditions and injuries since birth, Nic believes her practice of Yoga has enabled her to heal beyond what is known as ‘possible’ and is passionate about sharing the blessings Yoga has gifted her. Her goal is to make Yoga and its teachings accessible to everybody regardless of age, experience or ability.
